Kickers 'capturing the feeling'

Speak Media was commissioned to review the iconic footwear brand’s core values and redefine its verbal identity – culminating in the production of a 34-page tone of voice manual.

Our mission was to capture the 'unique feeling' associated with the brand in words, and to provide guidelines on how to ensure that all Kickers’ copywriting is engaging, customer-focused, and consistently brand-relevant.

Kickers staff and external agencies will use the manual whenever they need to prepare wording for use in any public or trade communication – from headlines on the e-commerce platform to social media messages to POS materials.

It will also serve as an introduction to the brand’s values and heritage – so it can form part of the induction for new employees or contractors when they first encounter Kickers.

The project is recognised by Kickers as one of the most important branding exercises they have commissioned.

Speak Media has since been engaged to continue working with the Kickers e-commerce marketing team, providing editorial and consultancy services – from writing product descriptions to advising on the use of blogs and social media
