Barclays named 'best corporate website'

home.barclays, the global corporate website for Barclays Group, has won 'gold' in the Digital Impact Awards – one of four award nominations that our Content Works editorial team have picked up for their work with Barclays in 2017.

Since partnering with the bank's corporate communications team in late 2016, we have established a new content strategy, redesigned the main home and news landing pages, and developed an integrated brand newsroom responsible for news and features output on home.barclays.

The judges at the Digital Impact Awards – where the project was given the top award in the coveted 'Best Corporate Website' category – singled out our editorial approach for creating a dynamic and engaging online presence that successfully communicated the bank's corporate narrative.

Paul Williams, Speak Media’s director of client services, said: “It’s been a pleasure working alongside the comms team at Barclays to build their global content brand.

“This major win, and the three other nominations we’ve received, are recognition of what we've achieved together in a relatively short timeframe.

“The success of the project also reflects the fact that we're working with a forward-thinking client who understands the importance of content in bringing corporate narratives to life. Naturally, we’re very excited about building on this in 2018. Watch this space!"
