the challenge

Speak Media was approached to support Coutts, one of our founding clients, with the launch of a new Multi-Asset Fund (CMAF) – a range of UK-biased funds that aim to deliver attractive long-term returns by investing in a broad range of asset classes such as cash, bonds, equities, commodities and property.

We were tasked specifically with the design and creation of the marketing collateral, including three customer brochures, website landing pages, factsheets, and other supporting materials – all produced to the extremely high content and design standards of a historic banking institution serving the needs of the world’s wealthiest individuals.

 

 

what we did

Working to the tight deadlines required for product launch, we delivered initial concepts for product – billed as an ‘Evolution in Investment Management’ – within days of the initial commission.

We then refined and developed in a workshop with the key marketing stakeholders. With a remit to provide a unique suite of materials for the new product – reflecting Coutts’ unique position in the marketplace and its highly individualised service proposition – the chosen concept was based on a new design language that took the theme of ‘evolution’ as the starting point.

This was developed to provide compelling, standout imagery alongside a layout design that was kept extremely clear and logical to allow the important financial messaging to come through in a clear, uncluttered way.

Our design team and editors worked closely with Coutts’ in-house subject specialists to ensure that the copy was suitably engaging and authoritative with, as ever, a laser-like focus on the target audience of investors.

the outcome

Commenting on the resulting launch deliverables, which were finalised for both print and online channels within three weeks of initial briefing, Hannah Fernandez, Products & Services Business Partner, said: “Just wanted to say a massive thank you to you all for being superstars as always. Since launch, the Coutts Multi-Asset Funds have grown from a £500m initial investment to £2bn in assets under management (as at Nov 2017).
